Text Box: The Red Lake Nation College’s was formed to preserve the Anishinaabe language and culture.  Students are encouraged to begin and share their life long journey of keeping the language  and culture alive while a student at the college.  As contemporary Indian life continues to evolve, the students at RLNC are encouraged to continue to learn and pass down the traditional ways of the Anishinaabe.

Educational Goals
The primary goal of the Red Lake Nation College is to preserve the 
culture of the Anishinaabe with a special focus on language.  Therefore, the Red Lake Nation College provides a curriculum that combines both traditional views with an integrated liberal arts education.

Accreditation
Currently Red Lake Nation College (RLNC) is both a college and satellite college of Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College (FDLTCC).   RLNC will work out an Articulation Agreement with FDLTCC where students earning credits through RLNC will transfer to FDLTCC at the completion of their course work.  Fond du Lac Tribal & Community college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges. 

Red Lake Nation College is currently focused on becoming affiliated with the Higher Learning Commission and then working through various steps and processes that will bring it to candidacy to accreditation.

Master Plan
It is the intention of the Red Lake Nation College to develop a Master Plan which describes how and where the college will build a new campus and buildings.  This plan will be presented in 2011 with hopes to be built in 2014.
